What we collect, why, and how you stay in control of your data.
What we collect
When you use the cloud version of openGaro, we collect the account details you provide, your API key configuration (stored encrypted), and the prompts, automations, and results you create inside workspaces. We do not read your content for training or advertising.
Bring your own keys
You can wire openGaro to your own model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Ollama, or any OpenAI-compatible endpoint). When you do, the keys you provide are encrypted at rest and used only to make requests to the providers you choose. They are never shared, sold, or used to call any service on your behalf without your automation doing so.
Self-hosted and local
In self-hosted or fully-local mode, your files, folders, automations, and conversations stay on your machine. We have no access to that data — the software runs on your hardware and talks to whichever providers you configure.
Data storage
Workspace data in the cloud is stored on our servers with encryption in transit and at rest. You can delete workspaces and their contents at any time, and deletion is processed from our active systems.
Cookies and analytics
We use minimal, privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages and features are used so we can improve the product. We do not build advertising profiles from your activity.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws.
